Kevin Wilder, a native of Cincinnati, has made Florida, specifically Tampa Bay his home and work base for the past seven years. After attending the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, Kevin continued to develop an already well respected reputation for his unconditional dedication and diligence towards educating himself on interpretation of expression, specifically jazz, its history, foundation and future. Kevin has worked with such artists as Branford Marsalis, Kirk Whalum, Roy Ayers, John Clayton and many others. It is to these people who he attributes his continued growth as a musician, not to exceed his education by his parents; to be more importantly, an honest and loving human being. Kevin has been blessed with a talent that has allowed him to travel to such places as Scandinavia, the Caribbean, and Alaska. At home in Tampa Bay, he has continued to develop his passion as a free-lance musician working with the areas finest musicians, such as Fred Johnson, Gumbi Ortiz, Vincent Sims, Kenny Walker and many others; ultimately working with Theo, Richard and Rita, which has proven to be professional, respectful, educational and fun! And in the process, they have become true friends. Kevin continues to maintain his ambition to grow, not only as a musician, but as a person.
